...a man sits,

he stares into darkness

a twinkle of humor in his eyes

he sits...and stares with amazement

but also with a bit of fear

he does not know what can jump out

of this darkness to suprise him

to let him know

what he's really looking into

...a man sits

looking into the face so dark

a smile appears on his lips

knowing...realizing

darkness is really staring back at him

he stares into the deep eye of the night

it is so deep

that within the darkness

he looses himself

a man sits...lost

the twinkle is still shinning

the smile still lingers

he's waiting to touch the night

in his eyes....

there's hope

the man still sits and stares

he knows that he shall

find his way back

but for now

he's comfortably lost

within the eyes of the dark

and the smile

never fades...
