You came to me in Winter
And covered me with your warmth.
Seduced me with your burning eyes
Ignited a fire in my icy heart.
You planted seeds of courage
Rooted yourself deep within.
Tangled your words full of fantasies
And in my heart, you nestled in.
You removed yourself in the Spring,
And that minute felt like a year.
Yet you returned like a gust of wind,
And rustled all the leaves in my tree.
From dead branches grew rosebuds,
Buds that bloomed by each day.
When Summer approached,
The heat from your body was permanently engraved on my skin.
That Summer my love for your grew stronger,
As you deeply rooted yourself in my soul.
But by Fall, I felt the presence of doubt
As you removed yourself once more.
Now soon, we will come full circle,
Winter is not far away.
I dream of that season of strangers,
When you and I were ever so perfect
When nothing could ever ruin our secrets
Where we existed in our own magical way.
